Yesterday we took Jake to the Rodeo for the 2nd time in his life. (The 1st time was last year when he was only 6 months old) Wow, what a difference one year can make. We had so much fun but came to the realization that Jake does not do good in public places where he can't get what he wants 'right now'. He has definitely entered his 'terrible 2's' a little early but we hope that means that they will end a little early...we'll see!! He wants to explore everything that he sees which means that when he sees ANY animal he wants to give hugs and kisses NOW. He's not very good with the lines. Needless to say, our patience was tested. Once we got where HE wanted to go....we had a blast. The petting zoo was a so much fun and Jake called EVERY animal 'horsie'. He gave lots of hugs and kisses which made Mom a little nervous b/c of the diry 'horsie' germs. He loved the Merry-go-Round and of course wanted"more peeaase"! By the time the concert started he was almost zonked out (as you can see) with all the stuffed animals that his Daddy an Uncle Dustin won for him. (HUGE teddy bear, SpongeBob and a sea turtle).
We will definitely go again next year and hopefully he will have learned a little more patience!! :)
